SLAVE LAKE WILDFIRE

2011 - Slave Lake Wildfire

CAN-TF2 was initially deployed by the Province of Alberta to provide an EMAT Medical Clinic at the Westlock Hospital.  This quickly grew into providing Logistics, Planning, and Command Staff to the Slave Lake Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) for a total of 12 days.

The Logistics team provided a fully staff logistics centre 24/7 which obtained all the supplies needed to manage the entire incident.  The Planning Team provided progress tracking, situational awareness, and written Incident Action Plans (IAP's) for the EOC.  Command Staff filled the roles of EOC Management and Section Chief positions in the EOC.
